The ASH Centre is a not for profit organization whose primary purpose is to collaborate with other not for profits in order to reduce operating expenses and enhance those collaborative organizations programming dollars.  At this time, the ASH Centre has become a model for showing how one facility can serve multi-purposed charities. 

SENIORS

A DAY AWAY: 

A day care for those family members with Alzheimer's and dementia, this not for profit relocated to the ASH Centre in January, 2008.  Expansion of their operations will allow more service to those and the families of those suffering from Alzheimer's Disease, thus serving the Fort Wayne Community in even greater ways. ADA

SENIOR WALKING/WELLNESS PROGRAM:

Senior Wellness Walking Program A daily program free to all area seniors is a major component of the ASH Centre's outreach and community development.  Not only is there daily walking opportunities in the Field House, but also programs are expanding to include routine health checks, counseling programs and medical care referrals.

HEALTHIER LIFESTYLES

FORT 4 FITNESS:

Headlined by the locally popular Fort 4 Fitness Marathon and the Indiana News Center Challenge,  these programs offer education, awareness, instruction and encouragement as over 400 participants get involved in this 20-week program as Steps to a Healthier Life. Fort 4 Fitness

SHAPEDOWN: 

Shapedown A Parkview Hospital program that targets Child Obesity Trends,  this ten week program focuses on education, encouragement and exercise.  Two Parkview professionals run this program with enthusiasm and energy. 

YOUTH

THE WORLD BASEBALL ACADEMY: 

WBA Logo  The World Baseball Academy mission is to use the game of baseball to provide services for athletes that encourage life skills development, aid in eliminating discrimination and cross cultural barriers while increasing the interest of baseball on a local, national, and international level.
