What is the ASH Centre?
The Academy of Sports and Health is a not for profit facility whose goal is to offer a first class "destination" for community programs whose focus is youth outreach, senior support, and activities for special needs.
Are we owned or run by Ash Brokerage?
The ASH Centre came into being because of the generousity of the Ash Family Foundation; however, the buildings and 26 acre grounds are a stand alone not-for-profit founded and operated by Brad Kimmel.
Where are we located?
At the corner of Freeman and Taylor, just south of Rockhill Park.
Are we affliliated with Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation?
The ASH Centre is not affiliated with any park, league or sports organization. We do work collaboratively with all of these entities.
What programs do we offer?
Our facilities house many different programs focusing on Youth, Seniors and those with Special Needs. We have two full time tenants: the World Baseball Academy and A Day Away, the latter organization specializes in day care for clients with Alzheimer's or dementia.
Can individuals rent the ASH Centre?
The ASH Centre rents only to organizations that serve our vision and mission. All rentals are handled through Caleb Kimmel and the World Baseball Academy.
